Vidding Notes:

This video belongs in the happy little trio that also includes "Four Years" and "Better". It's another attempt to even out my video editing karma, and explore the flip-side to my unrelenting angst. After making "Your Own Personal..." and "Chasing Arizona" so closely together, I was pretty wiped out emotionally. I've been recharging with Tony/Mcgee off and on since then, though the perfect song hadn't fallen into my lap until this one did. I'm sure it's being done all over youtube, but I don't really care. It's brought me out of a three month hiatus. These two are so delicious around each other it's like backstroking through a horny river. Or, eh, something?

I also wanted to make it as accessible as possible. So often my videos have very limited audiences either because of the subject matter or the narrow eye I choose for them to view from. I wanted to make a video that required no prior viewership of a show, while retaining the essential joy of said show and making it 100% awesome for fandom-insiders. I don't know that I accomplished that here, but it's making *me* smile to watch it over and over again. Hopefully someone else will get that same warm glow. This video *is* definitely a body language oriented video. Context highly unnecessary for the most part, or bring your own context. Seriously? This is more a playful romp between puppies than it is a vid.

No color work this time, just simple brightens and contrasts. I used the lip-sync technique again, but I tried not to overdo it, because I think it's a little distracting, if fun to watch.

Also, do any of you have tips on compressing? My xvid/divx codecs just don't seem to be doing their job anymore.


For the uninitiated, yes, these guys really do behave this slashy. It's crazy.

Definitely worked for me, and I've only seen half an episode of the show because my mom absolutely loves it. This is adorable and happy and unlike about a lot of vids with unfamiliar source material, it held my attention the entire time. The UST was obvious and enjoyable, even outside of context. Great work. :)

Oh HAY--I know nothing about this show except the squee that [info]shetiger makes in her journal, and this was hella fun and hella cute! Body language is slashy ahoy!

I've never heard of Duffy before, but the song is pure love, too. Eeeeee. I liiiike this ! with the ... the and the.. *points at all the clips* all put together and they bop around and oh oh oh. :D :D :D

Hey, I don't watch this show, but Michael Weatherly eyeballing up another guy? Hello! I will totally be trying to tune in from now on.

This vid totally made me smile. The timing and internal rhythm and clip choices were very strong. Plus, it was kinda dirty and kinda hot in all the right ways. :D

No advice on compressing. Divx and xvid . . . I've been playing with both of them and they don't often yield results I'm satisfied with, but that's probably more due to me being a newbie than anything else.

BWEEEEEEEE! This vid totally made my evening. It made me itch to catch up on NCIS again, and reminded me how pretty Michael Weatherly is...

It's just all movement and bounce and beat and everything that hooks me in a vid (being someone who kind of sucks at listening to the lyrics the first few laps...). Thank you!

*stabs compressing* I tried being all proper last time I vidded, with Virtualdub and Avisynth etc etc, and all I got was Premiere erroring on me and the audio compression not working at all. Codecs suck. I kinda miss not bothering about quality or aspect ratio and when a good vid was when you could make out what the big pixels formed. ;)

That was the one on the ship, yes. Early fifth season. Humina is right. When I saw Tony step up behind Tim them I nearly bit my own hand off. I knew it was going to be all awkward and overly-intense, but I didn't know that Tony would eye-fuck Mcgee so. very. hard. IT WAS FANTASTIC.

God, that was awesome! Very happy-making :D I'd forgotten how much I loved NCIS. Maybe one day I'll go back to it, once I get over the plots. The characters are so awesome and this vid really highlighted the delight of Tony being an utter goofball and McGee sometimes taking it and sometimes dishing it right back. Hee!

Wow, I always knew Tony and McGee had a weird 'I'll annoy the crap out of you just because I can' relationship, but this vid sure brought the slashy side out into the open! Guess it all just piles up over the seasons.

Loved it, it brought a smile to my face this morning :). Enjoyed in particular the clips at the start with Tony drumming away and the final clip with the radio. Great choice of song.

One thing though - I downloaded the 55.8MB version and the aspect ratio seems a tad stretched widthways. Anyway, no biggie,thank you for sharing!

Watch Tony's expressions, that's all I'm saying. And the way Tim does the first glance, then the second "I'm a little weirded out by all this close physical contact Tony is having with my person" expression that he does. It's patented, seriously.

I'm completely over the moon with fannish glee right now. My love for Tim/Tony knows no bounds and it just makes me incredibly happy to have found a vid of quality about them. And yes, they do behave this slashy, and I find it pretty incredible.

Your editing was just pitch perfect; it enhanced every look and touch. You did not just take Tim/Tony moments here and there and added a music track, and just for that, thank you very very much. \o/
